Privacy & cookie policy
How Jacobs Brothers Construction handles your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. What we collect
When you call, WhatsApp or use the quote form, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, the site address and details and photos of the project.
The quote form on this website doesn’t store anything. It opens WhatsApp on your device with your details filled in, and nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp.
2. How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, visit the site, quote, do the work and invoice you. We don’t use it for marketing without your permission, and we never sell it.
3. Who we share it with
Only where needed for your job: suppliers delivering materials to your site, engineers or specialists we work with on your project, and our accountant or authorities where the law requires it. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own privacy policy.
4. How long we keep it
We keep quotes, invoices and job records for as long as tax and consumer law require (usually five years), then delete or destroy them.
5. Project photos
We sometimes photograph our work for our records and our gallery. We don’t show your address, and we leave out people’s faces and vehicle number plates where we can. If you’d rather we didn’t show photos of your project, tell us and we will take them down.
6. Cookies
This website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse.
7. Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details below. If you’re not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
8. Information officer
Our information officer is the owner of the business. You can reach us by phone or WhatsApp 083 565 1026.
